A collection of safeguarding documents to help protect children in your nursery:
This includes:
- Safeguarding Reporting Form – this form should be used to record safeguarding concerns relating to Children and/or Vulnerable persons.
- Record of Conversation Form – this form should be used to record any conversations had with any outside agencies, including parents.
- Safeguarding Quiz – use this to improve and tests staff’s knowledge of safeguarding. Two documents, 14 questions. Simply print and get staff to fill in.
- Safeguarding Audit – to be used by management to determine whether your nurseries safeguarding procedures are effective and up-to-date.
- Confidential File Cover Sheet – used to record events which may be a safeguarding concern. Have a record of all events in one place so that you can identify any concerns faster.
- Incident Form – this form is to be completed by a member of staff whenever an incident occurs involving a child within the setting and filed accordingly.
- Accident Form – Ofsted approved accident form. It comes in two parts. Part 1: To record accidents that happen onsite. Part 2: To record children’s injuries that happened before coming to nursery.
- Visitor Sign-In Sheet – record who attends the nursery with this simple sign in sheet.
