The Complete Mentorship Package is Open a Nursery UK’s highest level of support for founders who want someone experienced alongside them while they move from planning through to registration and opening.
What is the Complete Mentorship Package?
Opening a nursery involves dozens of decisions around property, finance, staffing, regulation, Ofsted, policies, resources and the practical setup of the setting.
The Complete Mentorship Package gives you 12 months of close, practical support so you do not have to work through each of those stages alone.
Rather than receiving a fixed number of generic calls, support is used according to what is happening in your nursery journey and where guidance is most valuable.
What’s included
Strategic support based on the needs and progress of your nursery project.
Support assessing potential premises, layouts, suitability and the practical implications of turning a building into a nursery.
Curtly can visit your proposed or secured premises to assess the environment, identify issues and help you plan the setup. Practical travel arrangements will be agreed where required.
Help developing your business plan and understanding start-up costs, income, staffing costs, occupancy and the commercial decisions behind your nursery.
Support with staffing structures, recruitment, safer recruitment, ratios, leadership and preparing your team for opening.
Preparation for your registration journey, including questions, leadership knowledge, safeguarding, the nursery environment and an Ofsted mock preparation visit.
A faster route for questions and decisions that arise between meetings while you are actively progressing your nursery.
Work through the structured training alongside your individual mentorship and return to the course whenever you need it.
Access to key resources designed to support the practical setup and operation of your nursery.

As you move closer to opening, the package also includes:
- Safeguarding Level 2 for Early Years & Childcare Professionals for up to 5 staff
- Complete Baby Room Training for up to 5 staff
How the support works
The Complete Mentorship Package is not designed around forcing your nursery journey into a fixed monthly schedule.
Some periods may involve more activity than others. For example, you may need intensive support while assessing a building, preparing your business plan or getting ready for your Ofsted registration visit, followed by quieter periods while third parties complete their work.
Strategy meetings and support are therefore arranged according to the needs of your project during the 12-month mentorship period.
Not using support during a particular month does not create a credit, refund or entitlement to unused sessions. The programme provides access to the agreed support throughout the mentorship period rather than a fixed number of monthly appointments.
A done-with-you programme
Curtly provides guidance, feedback, practical experience and support, but you remain responsible for making decisions and completing the actions required to open your nursery. Third-party decisions including landlords, planning authorities, local authorities and Ofsted remain outside Open a Nursery UK’s control.
